The easy Center Stage Seniors Process

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

You might want to see what a full session looks like - and I encourage you to ask any photographer to see an entire session, because that is the best way to get a complete understanding of her or his skill level and artistic style. I have several full sessions on my blog for you to review.
Choose Center Stage Seniors, and schedule!: Once you have made your decision and would like to schedule, click here, which will take you to my online calendar. You will need to schedule two things:

1. Your Photoshoot;

2. Your planning meeting (Deluxe, Platinum and Gold sessions).

You will want to note that I have a nonrefundable $300 retainer fee, and some firm policies related to cancelling or rescheduling, so be sure to read about that.

Once you have paid your retainer fee, you are officially a Center Stage Senior! Yay!
Planning meeting!: I hold planning meetings at my house in Western Shawnee on Thursday afternoons and evenings. It's a 30-minute meeting where we get to know each other, choose locations, decide on a start time; and I will collect the remainder of your session payment. I can't wait to meet you! Try not to be shy! Tell me what you would like and we will make it happen.
Photoshoot day!: We have made it to the best part - the photoshoot! You will find that I'm super relaxed about the sessions - I don't use lighting equipment or have assistants. It is just me and my camera. The shoots are a ton of fun - I think you can see that in my images. Kids sometimes start out a bit nervous but within minutes are comfortable and happy (and then sad when it's over - and I am, too!).
Instagram previews!: The very evening of your portrait session, I go home and immediately start looking through your shoot and choose 2-3 previews to post on Instagram right away! I don't like to make you wait to see that it all went beautifully! The following day, I will post even more previews. I love Instagram and showing you off.
Image delivery!: In about 10 days I email or text you with your gallery, and a link to download your edited image files. They are then ready for you to share, print - anything you want! That's it! It's that easy!

Frequently asked questions about Center Stage Senior Sessions

How long have you been doing this, Lori?: I have been a portrait photographer for 18 years. I started my business working with a dance studio (that's why my business name is Center Stage - every dancer wants to dance in the center of the stage!); and then moved into portraits of babies, children and families. Over the years I would photograph a few seniors, and absolutely loved it. I tried for some time to change my business focus to high school seniors, but it was difficult to do once I was known for other types of photography.

Once my oldest went to high school, however, that all changed. She auditioned for and made it onto her high school dance team; I did a photoshoot for them, and that got the ball rolling on my senior business - and how! I went from something like 10 seniors in 2015 to 90+ in a matter of three years!
When and how do I pay you?: When you first schedule, you will pay a $300 non-refundable scheduling fee to claim a date on my calendar. The online calendar system will direct you to pay with a credit card. The scheduling fee is subtracted from your total, and the remaining amount is due at your planning meeting (or for mini sessions, the day of your shoot).
What if I need to reschedule?: I hope that you don't, but should it be necessary, I have some options. But because my schedule fills up and some potential clients can't get a date; I also ask clients who do claim a date to be committed to it. If we are longer than a month away from your session date, you are fine - go ahead and reschedule. From late July to October, if you are less than four weeks out from your session date when you need to reschedule, you will be offered a make-up date in November if I don't have closer reschedule date to offer you. *** Note that for Mini Sessions, we have a little more rescheduling options.
Can I see a full session that you have done?: Yes! I love to share my work, and I think all potential clients of any photographer should be able to see a full session. Website portfolio galleries can be full of beautiful images, but is a photographer able to sustain that level of image, and stay true to their style, for an entire session? What if I don’t get the type of sunset I wanted?: First, don't worry! I can get you beautiful portraits no matter what. But if you had your heart set on golden sun, I offer an inexpensive ($75) "Second Chance Sunset Mini" and this has made many girls happy over the years. I can do these in late November through March, and we make sure it's a day when the sun will be out. Sunsets that time of year are amazing! These portraits of Audra were taken on Dec. 12!
Do you do family portraits?: Yes - I love to! I mainly do family portraits outside of my busy senior photoshoot season, but I do family portraits and love them. You can find info here.
